Patricia Gay
Patricia was born and raised in central Alberta, growing up on the farm with 4 siblings and many pets. Patricia graduated from University of Alberta Law School in 1988 and was called to the Bar of the Law Society of Alberta in 1989. She has been a member of the Association of Collaborative Professionals (Edmonton) for 20 years and has extensive training in interest based negotiation and mediation of disputes.
Patricia assists with relationship planning - cohabitation agreements, prenuptial and post-nuptial contracts, as well as with relationship and family breakdown - separation agreements, divorce, parenting, child and spousal support and family property division, with a major focus on Collaborative Law. When relationship breakdown is inevitable, with support and guidance almost everyone can create a go forward plan for division of property, parenting of children and support that will fit the unique circumstances of their family. If it is necessary to seek the assistance of the court to address a situation, it is done with the goal in mind of ensuring the least stress - emotionally and financially - as possible.
Patricia also practices in the areas of Real Estate and Wills and Estates. She and her paralegal Lorraine Beals provide a supportive and personal approach to their practice of law, and pride themselves on helping clients transition into new and exciting chapters of their lives.
Outside of work Patricia enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren; keeping fit and socially active through her book club and running group, and planning the next travel adventure.
Lorraine Beals
